F i s h s p e a r i t, I n c. is a small American business owned and operated by Andy Lowe and Star Droshine in Northwest Florida. Together they began working on the concept of a more useful polespear 10 years ago while operating a dive charter business in the Caribbean. After creating a successful prototype and setting up production, the business officially took off, launching their website, Foldspear.com, in 2002. Two years, and hundreds of happy customers later, they crafted an improved Foldspear and launched a new website, to serve their customers better. Currently, the company is growing and considering branching out into a full line of traditional spearfishing gear. Andrew Lowe,
Andy is a former nuclear electrician and U.S. Navy diver who served aboard a fast attack submarine. He has been a Padi dive instructor for the past 12 years and holds a 100 ton USCG Captain's license.
 Star Droshine, B.S., M.A.
Star has owned and operated an advertising business for 8 years. In addition, she has been a PADI Dive Instructor for 12 years and managed a large retail dive shop for over 2 years.
