After several postponements due to inclement weather, the annual Palm Beach Freedivers Polespear Tournament sponsored by Foldspear was a huge success! Good sea conditions and an exceptional group of freedivers brought in several coolers of excellent fish and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to First Place winner Yury Bylina who brought in another impressive stringer of polespeared fish!

Dec. 3rd 2011, will be the annual Palm Beach Freedivers Polespear Tournament sponsored by Foldspear. Over $500 in prizes including an 8′ Foldspear, a 4′ Foldspear, various tips, T-shirts, and more! This tournament is open to the public.

The location is Phil Foster Park in Palm Beach. The captains meeting is at 7:30 AM at the staging docks on the East Side of the park. The event starts promptly at 8:00 AM and you must be North of the Blue Heron Bridge and on your way back to the staging docks before 2:00 PM. The weigh in, picnic and prizes will be at the Pavillions on the West side of Phil Foster Park at 2:30 PM. Entry fee is $40 – proceeds go toward the picnic and trophy, with any remaining balance to the club. A liability waiver (provided at the captains meeting) must be signed and anyone under 18 must have their parents present or prior arrangements made in order to participate. The Palm Beach Freedivers Club advocates safe freediving and this is a fun style tournament, so please dive safely and have fun.

Thanks to Aaron Crist of Crist Spears for putting up this video of spearing carp with a Foldspear. Aaron has been helping with the development of several new tip designs for the Foldspear.

Treasure Coast Hunt and Feed Winner!

Congratulations to Jon Turla for winning the 6′ Foldspear Prize at the 1st Treasure Coast Hunt and Feed, held at Pepper Park, Fort Pierce on Saturday July 16th!

New Product! Replacement Holster Straps

We are pleased to announce that we now have the new improved Replacement Holster Straps available in the online store. These straps are meant as a replacement for the stretchy, elastic style straps that were used on earlier versions of the Foldspear Holster. The new straps are made of a rigid non-stretching canvas material and feature velcro adjustments to fit all sizes. The straps also feature quick release buckles as always.
